This book is about a journey that began in the fall of 2016 when employees of Global Affairs Canada came together with the Native Women's Association of Canada to host a Faceless Dolls Workshop to acknowledge, honour, and remember the missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls, their families, and communities. As we crafted the dolls, we reached a deeper appreciation that, regardless of our different backgrounds and cultures, we are all sisters and brothers in need of safe and respectful environments. That journey has continued as a conversation about reconciliation and education that recognizes the commitment of federal government employees in response to Truth and Reconciliation Call to Action #57.
